Melissa from The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife is hosting a little link up. All us wives are supposed to ask our hubbies these question and the answer them ourselves. My man did pretty well. I'd love to read your answers if you do this!
How long have you been married?
Nate: A year and seven months exactly
Susannah: One year, seven months, and 12 days!
Where was your first date?
Nate: YaHala - Lebanese food
Susannah: This is a tough one... The first time we did something "couple-y" (before I knew he was interested) was the Junior/Senior Banquet at our college. The first time we did something just the two of us (when Nate laid out his intentions for me) was coffee at Seven Virtues. Our first date in a true date fashion was to Lebanese food at YaHala.
Where was your first kiss?
Nate: At the waterfront in Spokane in front of the fountain
Susannah: On the cheek... Oh, you mean where did it take place? Our first real kiss was at Riverfront Park in Spokane right after he proposed. Also, I forgot we were able to kiss so I turned my head away when he came in for our first kiss.
Who first said, "I love you"?
Nate: Me!
Susannah: Nate. And I said "thank you." Come to find out, two of Nate's closest friends' now wives also said thank you the first time the guys said "I love you" to them.
What were your wedding colors?
Nate: Yellow and Green?
Susannah: Yellow and Green
What is her most commonly used phrase?
Nate: "I love you"? That's what I hear from her the most.
Susannah: I honestly have no idea... I'm excited to read what he says!
Who is her celebrity crush?
Nate: That one country guy from the voice (Blake Shelton), Dez (a contestant on the voice), the country guy with the really low voice (Josh Turner)... That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
Susannah: The real question is, who's not my celebrity crush? The one we joke about the most is Blake Shelton. I get to marry him if Nate and Miranda Lambert both die.
If she was ordering drinks for both of you what would you each get?
Nate: She would get me whatever IPA they have on tap. She would get herself a strawberry margarita... But it depends on what kind of bar we're at.
Susannah: I would get him an IPA. I would get myself an iced tea.
What is the best meal she has ever cooked you?
Nate: The homemade pizza she made the other night was really good. That's the most current best.
Susannah: This is tough. I cook a lot of good food! Maybe my salsa chicken? That's the one he asks for the most.
What is the worst meal she has ever cooked you?
Nate: One time she burned meatballs in the crockpot.
Susannah: I often throw a bunch of stuff into the rice cooker when I'm cleaning out the fridge... Typically it turns out really good but once I put in rice, chicken, cabbage, potato, onion, and garlic. It ended up being a white, boring lump of a meal.
What is the most-played song on her iPod?
Nate: She doesn't really listen to her iPod... But I'd say anything from Les Mis.
Susannah: I don't really listen to my iPod.
What would she say is your most annoying habit?
Nate: Snorting my nose instead of blowing it.
Susannah: Snorting instead of blowing his nose.
What is the last thing she does before she goes to bed
Nate: Cuddle with me.
Susannah: Cuddle with my hubby and then give him a kiss and send him to his side of the bed. I can't have him touching me when I'm trying to fall asleep! I'm pretty much the world's pickiest sleeper and I really don't like it.
If you could throw out one item of her clothing what would it be?
Nate: There's nothing I'd want to throw out because I don't throw out clothing.
Susannah: I don't think I own anything he'd throw out. Now if the question was reversed...
What would you say is your favorite thing about her?
Nate: I like that she's fun and beautiful and smart and hot.
Susannah: I would tell you but it's not blog appropriate.
What's her go-to drink at Starbucks?
Nate: A vanilla americano with room for cream and she adds cinnamon sprinkles
Susannah: In the winter - a vanilla latte. In the summer - an iced white chocolate americano with room for cream and cinnamon sprinkles.
What's her blog's name?!
Nate: Simple Moments Stick
Susannah: Simple Moments Stick
Have an amazing, love filled Valentine's Day!

This is adorable :)
ReplyDeleteI think you two know each other quite well! And I love that you both called out his most annoying habit! (That drives me crazy when people do that as well...just blow your nose!). Hope you had a great Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI love that last one! My husband jokes that he started reading my blog so that he wouldn't be surprised when his co-workers laughed with him about stories that I post. For years, his response was, "I *live* the blog, so it feels weird to read it."
ReplyDeleteAh this was so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove this! You guys did great! :) I'm going to have to try that drink in the summer at Starbucks! :)
