Portland is well known for its amazing coffee. This made World Cup Coffee and Tea the perfect place for the Portland Bloggers to meet up to discuss our blogging New Years Resolutions. Once again, it was so fun to get together with the ladies (and one guy this time!!!) to talk about our blogs and share our experiences in the crazy world of blogging. It's so fun to see how this little blog has created some amazing real life friendships that never would have been formed otherwise.
Jenni from A Well Crafted Party and Suzannah from Adventures in Dressmaking did such an amazing job organizing the event and made adorable blogging goal journals. They are incredible creative ladies! Kayla from Fit Life Forward and Bee from The Spicy Bee had great talks on how to make attainable goals and get them done. Thanks so much girls! It's so great seeing how women with such different passions (a party blog, a sewing blog, a fitness blog, and a food blog) can come together and make an amazing event happen. You ladies rock!
It was so fun hearing what different people with different sized blogs wanted to do to improve their blogs in the new year. The list ranged from taking a photography class to growing readership to learning how to take better advantage of other social media to promote their blogs. My goal for the year is to learn more of the behind the scene stuff that goes along with blogging. Hopefully the look of my blog will slowly be changing as I learn how to customize some aspects.
If any of you live in or around Portland we'd love to have you come to the next meetup. Head on over to the Portland Blogger's Blog to get the info on when and where the next one will be.
Here are some of the other Portland Blogger's events I've attended...
April 2012 - A lovely cocktail party
September 2012 - Photography workshop
October 2012 - Blogger's Night Out
November 2012 - SEO workshop (I didn't do a post about this one! Oops!)
The pictures at the top were taken by Samantha (@samantharosen5), Jenni (@jennibost), Erika (@erikaleesears), and Suzannah (@adventuresindressmaking). Check out their Instagrams!

I loved hearing about each person's different blogs and their goals! It was super inspiring and so interesting! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming! Great recap! It is pretty awesome that all of us, with diverse blogs, have so much in common!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very fun event. I'd love to make it to one someday. Thank you for the invite.
ReplyDeleteGreat recap! So glad you came.. you looked soooo adorable. I'd love to see an outfit post on here sometime! I loved the bun and scarf. We need to get together sometime soon to catch up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great goal, if you need a tips on the re-design just give me a shout! always willing to help people get more in control of their own designs!
ReplyDeleteI was so bummed that I missed this one! I really hope to make it to the next one, there are so many Portland bloggers that I haven't met yet.
ReplyDeleteSounds so fun, we don't have anything like this in our area. Hmmmmm......maybe we should :) The coffee looks delicious too!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Love the concept and sad I missed it. How do you find/get involved in things like this? Its hard cause I still consider myself a "portlander" but we live out in suburbia now.
ReplyDeleteHey Elena!
DeleteIf you're in the Portland area, we'd love for you to come to the next PDX meet up. I found out about them through a blog that I was reading of a girl who attends the meet ups but there's actually a blog that shares when they'll be. Check out www.pdxbloggers.com. Hope to see you at a future meet up!
This sounds like so much fun! I'm no where near Portland- I'm in MN, but the coffee alone would be enough for me!!! I hope I can learn a little from you along the way of ways you are improving your blog!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Portland someday..

Hi there! How lovely you all got together, blogger meet ups are such fun! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHEYYY!! I'm in Corvallis, but had no idea you guys were doing blog meets up around Portland! I'd totes be interested in making the drive! I'll have to check out the future dates :)
ReplyDeleteEven better that it was at a coffee house! Love me some coffee!!
xo, bev
Looks like a great meet up. Sad to have missed it.
ReplyDeleteHow much fun does that look? I'm sitting here thinking about what a blast it would be to have some good coffee and blog company! Glad you had such a good time!
ReplyDeleteThis looks very exciting. I'm supposed to be in Portland in the spring. Do you have to LIVE in Portland to attend, or can I just stop by? There's nothing like this in the area I live.
ReplyDeleteNow I wish I lived in Portland! I miss friends, that's one reason why I blog. Thanks for reading and leaving a comment about our new kitten. Here's the latest news (and answers to prayer): Tabitha was found in the veld near the airfield. We are all so happy! She was hungry and thirsty, poor thing. I'm posting today with the story and photos.
