I have always loved the season of advent. I love the anticipation leading
up to Christmas day, I love the glow of the candles on the advent wreath, and I
love the remembrance of the birth of my Savior. As I've gotten older, I've
realized that the season of advent is so much more than looking back on the
birth of Christ and anticipating Christmas, it's also a season to look forward
and long for the day that Christ comes again to gather His children home. Since
I'm nowhere near family, I wanted to share in the advent season with all my
friends and family who read this blog and light a virtual advent wreath with you
all.

The Messiah is come! Our time of preparation, hope, joy, and love have all come to this pinnacle moment. The white candle is lit. This candle is white, reminding us of the spotless lamb of God, born as a baby, sent to wash away our sins. The prophecies have been fulfilled! Our Savior has come!
The white also represents the purity of those who have chosen to accept the redemption of the Lord. We are now the pure bride of Christ. He is coming back to bring us home. We will celebrate the our wedding feast of the Lamb. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Merry Christmas... I hope the holiday was wonderful! I loved all the posts in December, what a fun way to celebrate the holiday!
